Landscape Designer

My passion for landscape began at a very young age when I was growing up on my parent’s farm in southeast Wisconsin. Throughout high school I enrolled in horticulture classes where I gained my interest in design. After high school, I enrolled at the University of Minnesota and in 2006 I received my Bachelors of Environmental Design. I decided to continue my education at the University of Minnesota and in May of 2009 I will receive my Masters of Landscape Architecture.
I take great interest in learning and obtaining new and old ideas, styles, and concepts. In the spring of 2008, I spent three months studying landscapes and architecture in Portugal, Spain, and Italy. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing different environments and landscapes and incorporating them into my creations.
I began working with The Mustard Seed, Inc in the summer of 2005 as part of the landscape installation crew. From there I became a crew foreman and am now beginning to join the design side of The Mustard Seed. As a foreman, I learned valuable hands-on knowledge about landscapes that helped ease the transition into design. Being guided by Kay Halla (Registered Landscape Architect) will also facilitate me in becoming a Registered Landscape Architect.
Working for The Mustard Seed has been an amazing learning experience for me in the early stages of my life long career. It has been a joy to support The Mustard Seed in their visions and goals of connecting people to the beauties of this world that God has created.
