I just wanted to thank you and the "Mustard Men" for the beautiful work you did in cleaning and refurbishing my pond. The water is clear, the 70+ goldfish are happy and my guests enjoy watching the fish frolic.
Eric gave me some good pointers about keeping the pond clean and Kelly was wonderful to cut back the Dogwood because she saw it needed to be done. Both of them were very helpful and thoughtful.
Thank you again for the professional work; the fun bantering as we scooped out the goldfish; and particularly how it all turned out...very beautiful.

Working with the team at The Mustard Seed has been a wonderful experience. They revamped the front of our store by adding 2 beautiful ponds. We hear comments from our customers everyday about the large pond in front of our store and how they'd love to have one just like it in their yard! The pond-less waterfall is admired and loved for it's low, almost no, maintenance! Cory's vision came through wonderfully and he is very knowledgeable about the fish and plants. Eric added great appeal to the pond through his placement of the rocks and ran a hard working crew. We had The Mustard Seed out to our place on two occasions. The first time they built us some wonderful boulder walls on our shoreline and what is even more exciting is the waterfall that flows over the walls and into our pond. We were honored to have our water feature on the Parade of Ponds in 2004 and thrilled to share it with others. The team then came back and enhanced the plantings and access to our backyard. After years of buying a real tree for Christmas, I had had it! I was tired of bringing a tree into the house only to have it loose needles immediately. What a mess my house was by the time the tree came down. I wanted to buy an artificial tree, but my family was adamant about NEVER having an artificial tree! Of course, they weren't really much help each year with cleaning up all those dead needles!
Then I bought a tree from The Mustard Seed and what a difference! We got the freshest tree we have ever had - as evidenced by all the needles actually staying on the tree where they belonged! It is great to know I don't have to sacrifice our family tradition of getting a real Christmas tree!

-We moved from out of state and built a home with a “clean slate” of mud. We needed to develop a whole plan, had some design challenges in the yard, had a strict budget, and needed to implement the plan, possibly in phases.
We prayed for a landscape design firm and saw your yellow car drive by one day while in Chaska. After seeing the logo of The Mustard Seed and the words that said landscape and design, we took note. Knowing what the mustard seed signifies in the Christian faith, we knew this was a divine appointment. So, without checking into anyone else, we contacted you.
We were very impressed by visiting the “barn” and also seeing that The Mustard Seed had very high quality work and also had won some awards for previous work. We were also very pleased with the friendliness of all the staff and the care that they showed us.
We were so pleased to work with Kay. She really knows design and we had much opportunity to work with the plan as she was developing what we had in mind. She also decided not to do the whole plan because there were some questions that came up in the back and the back yard. She made some great suggestions and then offered her assistance as we continue to progress in the back yard areas. She also took the time to make sure that the plants and stock that were delivered were of utmost quality. She also came during the installation to make sure everything was “just right”.
The “crew” was very hard working, very courteous as well as very professional. When working on our retaining wall, there were issues that came up, but they were very experienced and offered some good solutions. Even when we worked on other projects with other contractors (designing a deck and stamped concrete patio with steps down to another level of the yard that was separated by the retaining wall) and issues came up in those areas, Mark and the crew were willing to give their advice and opinions, even at times making a special trip out to our home to do so.
