I was Born in south central MN, I have always been most at ease outdoors. Growing up on a
15 acre hobby farm, spending summers camping in our amazing State Parks, and an
undergraduate experience behind the Pine Curtain all set the stage for my introduction
to Landscape Architecture. Since then I have focused on being as comfortable and
confident in the Boundary Waters and I am in the board room.
My design process starts from a place of fostering interactions. That involves all
manner of actors: people, animals, plants, biological systems, temporal changes,
economic factors, and whatever else the circumstance requires. I particularity enjoy
working with people to create special places that merge the artistic with the
My career thus far has allowed me to work on golf courses, sports stadiums,
commercial buildings, memorials, farm estates, city planning and private residences.
I hold a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and am a member of the American
Society of Landscape Architects and enjoy volunteering with the Minnesota and
Wisconsin Design Teams.
